Considering going into the field of chiropractics but not sure exactly how to do it or what school to attend?

The first step towards becoming a chiropractor is getting either a two year or four year degree (a four year degree is recommended if you wish to get a good education and a leg up in your career).  This degree should be in a science related area like biology or physiology or health sciences.

After you have this degree, it is time to select a chiropractic college.  There are 21 colleges of chiropractics that are recognized as being reliable by the CCE (the Council on Chiropractic Education).  The colleges of chiropractic in California include Cleveland Chiropractic College (which also has a location in Kansas), Life Chiropractic College West, Los Angeles College of Chiropractic of the Southern California University of Health Sciences, and Palmer College of Chiropractic West (which also has a location in Iowa).  The chiropractic colleges in Texas include Texas Chiropractic College and Parker College of Chiropractic.

There is also D’youville College of Chiropractic and New York Chiropractic College in New York.  There is the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic in Connecticut and Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in South Carolina.  Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minnesota and National University of Health Sciences in Illinois both have good chiropractic programs.  There is also Logan College of Chiropractic is Missouri and Life University College of Chiropractic in Georgia.

Whichever one of these colleges you attend, becoming a chiropractor can be a great career decision.
