Becoming a chiropractor is not an easy task.  To become a chiropractor first you must get a recommended four year degree in the field of science (a two year degree is required).  Then you must attend four years of Chiropractic College.  The last year of your training at chiropractic school is done in the field where you practice under the close supervision of a licensed chiropractor.  Once you have completed these tasks you will be grated a D.C. or Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

That brings us to our next question. Where are there good Chiropractic Colleges?  There are recognized Chiropractic Colleges all over the United States (and some in Canada and abroad).  There are a number of these schools in California and Texas.  There are also a few in New York.  The others are scattered around the US and can be found in Iowa, Connecticut, Minnesota, South Carolina, and Illinois.  All of these schools are accredited and an easy way to get a complete list is to go to the CCE or Council on Chiropractic Education website.

Whichever college you choose to attend, becoming a chiropractor will be a rewarding career for you and for your hundreds of patients.
