Chiropractic Medicine can be a great career path for individuals who are interested in the medical field and want to help people feel better and be more comfortable.  A chiropractor helps patients by adjusting their spine and creating better alignment of the neck, spine, and entire body.  It is believed that having a healthy spine can lead to better overall health.

To become a chiropractor, you need to first get a four year college degree preferably with some kind of scientific emphasis.  This could be a health science degree, a degree in biology, an anatomy or physiology degree.  After you complete this degree, you will need four more years of specialty training at an approved chiropractic college.  It is often true that a chiropractor’s education never stops because they usually have to attend classes and workshops annually.

After Chiropractic College (the last year of which is served in the field) the student receives a Doctor of Chiropractic degree or D.C. and they are ready to go into practice and start helping patients.
